When Jesus was asked, "What is the most important of the regulations and principles of the Torah?" he answered by quoting two passages in the Torah. "Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God, The Lord is one - you shall love The Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength," and "You shall love your fellow woman and man as you love yourself." For Jesus to combine those two meant that he saw them as two sides of the same commandment. We are therefore to love God, love others, and love ourselves. What does it mean to see the God who is Love in other people and in ourselves? What does it mean to embrace the Divine within ourselves and others, and in so doing, love God?
