On Saturday, February 10, 2018, the good life of Norman Montgomery was honored.

Marines came in all their dignity and presented a flag to his beautiful wife, Dina.

Journeyers, family, and friends sang along to hymns Norm loved and sang himself.

Rick reminded us all of Norm's clear thinking and quiet steadiness.

We mourned our friend.

May each of us who knew him or knew of his legacy take a moment this week to consider how we might be of service to another person. Perhaps that service might go unnoticed, but to do the thing that needs doing when it needs doing is an example he left that exemplifies Christ's work in the world. May his legacy continually inspire us to quiet action.

Shalom, y'all.
